Single-sided Time Domain-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance to Study the Effect of Cell Membrane Electroporation on the Water Mobility in Vegetal Tissues

This paper presents the characteristics of potato and apple tissues, with/out electroporation, by Time Domain-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (TD-NMR). A portable TD-NMR was used to measure proton relaxation time, T2, changes in cells due molecular water mobility tubers,-NMR identify modifications that occurred at cell level involving molecules tubers tissues after electroporation treatment compared with non-electroporated ones. The comparisons normal tissue preliminary measurements bulk were performed. Samples also analyzed terms conductivity microscopic morphology. results indicate process effect is identified a variation peak position T2 distribution, associated sub-cell modifications.
